First Women ACP Rapid Cup
The First Women ACP rapid cup was held at Rixos Hotel, Konya, Turkey from November 30th to December 4th 2009. Twelve top women players participated, with Tatiana Kosintseva as top-seeded. Alexandra Kosteniuk arrived from the World Chess Cup and the World Blitz, while Viktoria Cmylite and Monika Socko come directly from BNbank blitz. The rest of the field was composed of Nadezhda Kosintseva, Pia Cramling, Natalya Zhukova, Lela Javakhishvili, Masha Klinova (ACP nominee), and the Turkish Chess Federation nominees Kubra Ozturk, Nezihe Ezgi Menzi, and Betul Cemre Yildiz.
Women World Champion Alexandra Kosteniuk convincingly outplayed the opposition and took the first place with 10 points from eleven rounds, two points clear ahead of the second placed Viktoria Cmylite. Tatiana Kosintseva was third with 7.5 points.
