ECU Youth Grand-Prix 2010
REGULATIONS
1. “ECU Youth Grand-Prix 2010″ is composed of following tournaments:
European School Chess Championship 2010
5th – 11th April (Thessaloniki, Greece)

2. Competition will be held in 5 categories for girls and boys (under 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16 years) .Regarding that many tournaments have categories under 7, under 9, under 11, under 13 and under 15 years this year each age group will be ranked separately. In each age group for the first place in the tournament player will be awarded with 20 points, then 17, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 and for 10th place 1 point.
In order to be taken into account for the final ranking of “ECU Youth Grand-Prix 2010″, participants must participate in at least two tournaments, and three best results will be calculated.
3. Final standing will be determined in such way that will bring together two age groups in one category. For example age group 9 and age group 10 go together in category under 10. Winner in one category is player with more Grand prix points.
In case of tie, the following tie-breaks criteria will be applied:
1 – Best result on one of the Grand Prix tournaments
2 – Total number of the game points on all Grand Prix tournaments
4. Prizes for the final standing:
1st place: the status of “invited player” on the European Youth Championship 2010
2nd place: the status of “invited player” on the European School festival 2011
3rd place: a free full board on the European Youth Championship in Rapid & Blitz 2011
